Toyota Recall Information
Hi Folks,
Tuesday Toyota released a communication regarding the voluntary recall on certain accelerator pedals manufactured by CTS. Needless to say, the Hill household had a rocky night; but upon receiving the press release Wednesday, we learned the facts that led to this decision.
The recall does NOT include all Toyotas and the identification of CTS pedals is recognizable to the naked eye. Many of the Camry’s, Corolla’s, RAV-4’s and Highlander’s are not affected. Approximately 45% of our inventory is affected; we know diagnosis and solution will be quick and handled with extreme care.
The unprecedented action taken by Toyota assured me their concern for our customers comes absolutely first. No other manufacturer could risk damaging their reputation by making such a bold statement.
